* What is a DENIER?
A DENIER is the unit of measurement for the thickness of the thread used to make stockings and tights.
The lower the DENIER number 8, 10, 15, 20, etc., the thinner and more transparent the stocking or pantyhose. Conversely, the higher the number 40, 70, etc., the more transparent the stocking or pantyhose. Its thicker, and less skin is visible.
On the other hand, there are opaque microfiber stockings and tights in 50 and 100 denier, in which skin is barely visible. They are commonly worn during the fall and winter seasons.
